The 38th annual Alamo Heights Night celebration will take place on Friday April 17, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm at the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word at 4301 Broadway. Volunteers are needed prior to the event for event setup, during the event and after the event for cleanup. Most volunteer slots are for two or 3 hour shifts.

The link and information on volunteers reflects the 2025 event requirements. 2026 link and requirements will be updated in January 2026.

Volunteers are essential to the success of Alamo Heights Night. Funds raised at Alamo Heights Night have provided scholarships to hundreds of students attending university and vocational training programs as well as support to local charities and community service projects.

If you are interested in volunteering for Alamo Heights Night, there are several opportunities to choose from, including food/drink tickets sales, water/soda sales, beer, wine, margarita sales, and other opportunities. Volunteers obtain FREE entry to the event. When you click on any of the links below, you will be connected to the SignUpGenius website where you can register for one or more volunteer positions.

To host your own booth, you can apply by submitting a 2026 Booth Application and follow all 2026 Booth Guidelines.

Food/Drink/Rides Ticket Sales

Help sell tickets that are used to purchase food, drinks, and kids activities at the event.

Water/Soda Booths

Exchange food/drink tickets for soda and water.

Sausage Booth

Operate sausage booth.

Beer Booths

Volunteers are needed for both can and draft beer booths. Volunteers must be 21 to sell alcoholic beverages. Volunteers should arrive 10 minutes before the start of their shift. A TABC training certificate that is good past April 25, 2025 is required and must be brought to AHN 2025. On the registration/sign up page are instructions concerning obtaining and being reimbursed for TABC License training if you need it.

Event Admin Activities

Operate the Entrance and Exit Gates, HQ Booth, parking, and volunteer check in booth.

Set up/Tear Down

Assist in setting up the event site on April 24 & 25 Before the event and assist in closing down the event site after the event is over on Friday night (April 25) or Saturday morning (April 26).

Margarita Booth

Volunteers are needed to operate the Margarita Booth. Volunteers must be 21 to sell alcoholic beverages. Volunteers should arrive 10 minutes before the start of their shift. A TABC training certificate that is good past April 25, 2025 is required and must be brought to AHN 2025. On the registration/sign up page are instructions concerning obtaining and being reimbursed for TABC License training if you need it.

Wine Garden

Volunteers are needed to operate the Wine Garden. Volunteers must be 21 to sell alcoholic beverages. Volunteers should arrive 10 minutes before the start of their shift. A TABC training certificate that is good past April 25, 2025 is required and must be brought to AHN 2025. On the registration/sign up page are instructions concerning obtaining and being reimbursed for TABC License training if you need it.
